Paul Hison Statham, Jr.

His Story... 
              
Paul Hison Statham, Jr. was born on January 6, 2005 in Gainesville, GA to Lapacer Boarders and Paul Statham, his beloved parents.  Paul became a member of Greater Timber Ridge Church at a young age.  He was also an active member of the local Boys and Girls Club throughout his life.  He greatly enjoyed being on the Boys and Girls club basketball team.  He played football and basketball in middle school.  He even joined the tennis team for a period of time.  Paul proudly attended Gainesville High School.  He developed great relationships and was a member of Men Alive, LLC, a brotherhood mentor organization.  He enjoyed   playing video games, but could also easily out fish his Papa Marty.  Spending time with family and friends gave Paul great joy.  
 
Paul Statham, Jr., a cherished son, nephew, cousin and friend departed this world on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at the young age of 18.   He will be remembered as a loving, kind, and respectful young man.  
 
Paul was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Janice Border; Great-Grandmother, Christine Borders; Grandfather, Gerald Jones; Great-Grand Papa, Homer Borders; Aunt,Granda Boarders; Special Great Aunt,Valentine Tate; Godparent,Nina Tate; Sibling, Keywanda Borders. 
 
Paul leaves to uphold his memory his Mother: Lapacer Borders; Father: Paul Statham; 3 Sisters:  Secret Osborn, Lania Borders, Junia Borders; Godparent: Papa Marty Tate; Uncle: Brock Hendrix (Dundra Bailey); Aunts: Keyba (Terry) Edwards, Lapaige Borders, Debera Jones, and Michelle Young; Uncle: Larry Jones and Tracy (Monica) Mize; Great-Uncle: Homer Borders; Grand Papa: Ronnie Hendrix; Special Cousin: Demichael Borders (Alyssa Prince); Cousins: Keke Edwards, Johntez YoungNaamen Young, Johnwun Borders, Shakara Borders, Diamond Billings, Keywan Bailey, Zakiyan Keyteriyan, Keyzion Edwards, Zamiyan Hendrix, Alaiya Shirley, Kayden Borders, Kamil Borders, Amelia Borders, Keke Hunter, Jordan Brown, Bre Young, Stacey Young and Kim Young; 2 Nephews: Elijah Borders and Shuntez Hadley; Special Friends: Hampton Thompson, Taylans Thompson, Zephainah Burton, Amir Hartford, Nasir Stephens, Mariah & Madison Young; Godsister: Nyliveyah Harrison; Special Mentors: Tekeshe Parkinson, Brandon Evans and Gabe Copeland; and a host of other relatives and friends who loved Paul dearly.
 
Paul’s legacy will live on through the love he shared, the lives he touched, and memories he created. May his soul find eternal peace.  May we honor his memory by embracing love, kindness, and friendships in our own lives.
